Feeding

We have had to get pretty creative with feeding. Tessa has been very reluctant to eat, so we have tried a variety of things...feeding her in swing, feeding her while being held, feeding her with a bright light in her face (she normally likes that), and feeding her underneath a fan (with nothing really working). Finally we decided to take her into the bathtub to calm her down and feed. This is was the ticket. We played with her in the bathtub until she fell asleep and then we fed her almost a whole feeding while sleeping! It worked like a charm. We've also been adding some apple juice to sweeten up the taste...yum yum yum.

Things have gotten drastically better after this feeding! The next feeding was her first full feeding (without being drugged up), thanks to G&G Fieldhouse. Hooray! She is now willing to eat and she is getting more and more every time. You can continue praying for her speedy recovery (we think she may have a little bit of a cough now, you might hear it in the video.)

Seriously, could she get any cuter? Even her sleeping/eating sounds are cute!

"with a bright light in her face (she normally likes that)" ... Allison this reminds me of our time at Starbucks. :)

You three are handling this soooo well. Tessa looks like the same little doll I remember seeing at Grandma's. Oh those beautiful big eyes!! You are great examples for the rest of us in finding the "positive" in all situations. Love to the three of you. Aunt Sandy

Wow, what an incredible trooper Tessa is as are you--mom and dad.
I've been thinking of you all and praying for God's specialing healing....Tessa is so sweet...I love her peaceful demeanor....
I hope to be able to come see you soon...perhaps when I get back from Michigan?
Blessings,
Olga
