Answered Prayers

I want to start off this post with thanking EVERYONE for their thoughts and prayers for both Tessa and her parents. I am blown away at all the love and support we've been blessed with...phone calls, emails, comments on blog & facebook, cards in the mail, meals in the hospital, a balloon for Tessa, grandma coming over to play with her...amazing! YOU are all AMAZING!
Prayers were most definitely answered regarding our last post...liquid diet. Mark mentioned that we don't always follow the rules, but along with that comes quite a bit of guilt! We got in touch with a cleft nurse and she assured us that soft foods would be just fine for Tessa to eat. Praise God! So, our little lady has been eating like a horse for the past 5 days...a horse! In fact, Sunday night she woke up at 1:30 a.m. and demanded me to feed her. She had a full blown meal in the middle of the night! Unbelieveable. (She didn't even sleep in after all that...little stinker!) We've been giving her our Malt-o Meal concoctions, sweet potatoes, pasta, oatmeal, milk-logged Mighty Bites, mandarine oranges, & bananas. Hopefully she's okay with this food because she got her palate packing removed this morning and it looks like we'll be on soft foods for a little while longer.
As for Tessa's spirits...she's back to her old self again...for the most part. :)
