Enjoying the Backyard

With spring in the air and the weather warming up, Mark and I have been able to enjoy the backyard a little bit more. :) We've been doing some "nesting" I guess some would say. Here are some pictures of us in the great outdoors... Here's Mark enjoying our home-made "washamadryer" fire pit. Aaaah, what a great evening (up until we busted out the chess set in which Mark crushed me!)
Here's the world's awesomest tree. No really, it's 5 different citrus fruits grafted into one tree! We've got New Meyer Lemons, Bears Limes, Manderin Oranges, Navel Oranges, and Valencia Oranges! Well, actually, all we have right now are flowers and little itty bitty fruits, but we're hopeful. It's been fun to watch it grow and the blooms smell amazing! Mark mowing the yard. Check out his sweet overalls (picked 'em up at a Goodwill in Colorado). He sure knows how to turn me on! :)

And finally, the garden. We started planting at the beginning of March...so, now a monthish later, we've got this to show for it. Starting from the left along the backside we've got...sugar peas, snap peas, and green beans. Starting from the left all the way around...fingerling potatoes, onions, spinach, sweet peppers, cilantro, basil, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, and corn. It has been so much fun to water them daily and watch them grow. I think Baby will enjoy this as well. :) We're working very hard at getting our grass green...hopefully by summer we'll be able to sit on it without hurting our feet/butt. :)

We hope you're all getting the opportunity to enjoy your backyards as well.

Why do you call it a washamadryer fire pit?
